THANKS to the massive generosity of the people of Listowel, the local Mission Bazaar is well on course to raise €10,000.

The bazaar group thanked everyone who played a role in the success of the recent fundraiser this week.

It was held over two nights in the Boys' School Hall and saw hundreds turning out to bid for the vast range of items up for grabs in the auctions and raffles.

"We were delighted with it, it went very well and we had good crowds both nights," Mission Bazaar Group spokesman Mike Burke.

"The Listowel Mission Group would like to say a sincere thanks to our two guests Brenda Heffernan and Tom Barry, who helped with one of our special competitions.

"We would like to thank our sponsors, to all the people who gave so generously, to our door-to-door collectors, to our ticket sellers at the Boys' School hall, to all who helped out on the nights and to all the people who supported the bazaar."
