KERRYHEAD TRIATHLON: The Kerryhead Triathlon takes place this Saturday (1st September) at 1pm. Please come out and support the event. The cycle route goes around Kerryhead and will run from 1pm to 2:30pm. We respectfully ask residents and farmers in the area to take extra care when driving at this time and to please keep dogs in. Competitors for the Triathlon can register on www.ballyheigue.ie. To take part you must posses a Triathlon Ireland One Day Licence which must be purchased by Thursday 30th August.

Such was the success of the School Reunion for past pupils of Bouleenshere N.S., Ballyheigue in September 2007, organisers of that special event are planning an informal get-together in the Sand Bar of the White Sands Hotel on Friday 7th September 2012. Joe O'Sullivan, one of the organisers back then, feels it is time for a get-together as it is exactly five years to the day since the Reunion. So if you are backhome, on holidays or perhaps here for the Pattern festivities, or whatever, just call in for a chat, anytime after 9.00pm.
As Pattern Day draws near there will be a meeting of Our Lady's Well & Grotto Committee on Wednesday week, 29th August at 7.30 pm in the Grotto to ensure that all goes well on September 8th. Thanks to all the organizers and helpers on this special day for Ballyheigue.

A meeting of the Launch and Sale Committee for the book –"Ballyheigue – Our Christian Heritage" takes place also on Wednesday 29th August at 8.30 pm in the Community Centre.
