The annual Ballyduff Senior Citizens Christmas Party will take place at the Ballyroe Heights Hotel on this Sunday December 2nd. Anybody who has not received a ticket should contact any member of the committee.
Ballincrossig National School are running a Fundraising raffle with a first prize of a beef heifer worth €700. Second prize is a T.V and third prize is €150. Tickets cost €5 each and will be on sale throughout the parish over the coming weeks. Your support
BUS TO KNOCK
A bus will leave Causeway on Friday December 7th at 4.00pm for the Night Vigil at Knock Shrine. It will stop to collect passengers at The Square, Ballyduff at 4.15pm and continue on to Knock. Anybody interested in travelling are asked to contact O'Shea's Bus Hire, Tralee on (066)7180123 or Doreen on (087)6761125. Cost is €30.
The Organisers of the Ballyduff Christmas Craft Fair would like to thank all those who visited and supported the event in any way. It was a great opportunity to meet some of the local talented crafts people and to view the many varied items on display. Santa's visit a great treat for all those who are still young at heart.
Congratulations to Chris Houlihan, Knopogue, Ballyduff who trained Cashen Mafuma to win the Kerry Agribusiness Irish St Ledger at Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Saturday last. The greyhound is jointly owned by Padraig Rowan, Tralee and Chris and is kept at the Cashen Kennels in Knopogue. Well done to all concerned.
The death has occurred of Johnny Murphy, Birmingham, England and late of Tillaughna, Causeway, brother of Brendan Murphy, Tillaughna, Causeway, Mai Horan, Ballymacandrew, Ardfert and the late Delia Kearney, Ballybrannig, Ballyduff. Funeral will take place on Thursday December 6th at 6pm to Our Lady of The Wayside Church, Sollihull, Birmingham, and funeral mass on Friday December 7th at 11am.
