BALLYBUNION HOSPICE GROUP would like to thank Joan and John O'Connor and staff at Kilcoolys Bar for hosting our recent coffee morning. This was a huge success and raised E650 for this very worthy cause.
We the members would like to invite anybody wishing to sing at the Vigil Mass Saturday evenings at 7.30 p.m. and at practice at 6.45 p.m. every Wednesday. Thank you to Michael Kiely and Liam Fitzgerald for your enhancement and commitment over the summer. It was appreciated by all of us. We are delighted to begin the process of gathering the opinions of the community of Ballybunion for the Town Development Plan being done for us by O'Leary & Associates. We would encourage everyone to fill in the surveys given out last weekend and return them to the drop off points at the Church porch, Post Office, Danas newsagents and Super Valu.

ST.JOSEPH'S SECONDARY SCHOOL
Maeve Ferriter, Ciara Keane, Molly Carmody, Zac Lynch, Sarah Moore, Grace O'Connor and Ísla O'Connor were the student representatives of St.Joseph's Secondary School who attended the A.G.M. of Comhairle na nÓg in the Carlton Hotel, Tralee on Friday last October 12th. Congratulations to Molly on her nomination and every success for the coming year.
Congratulations to Darragh Browne who achieved further success in cross country running last weekend. He won gold in the Under 16 category. Along with William Kissane they were also part of the winning team. Niamh Stack was also competing. She came first in the Under 14 category.
ALL IRELAND SCHOOL'S TALENT SEARCH
Clodagh Mason ( 2nd year) competed in the first round of the 'Schools Talent Search' on Monday night October 8th in St.John's Heritage and Cultural Centre, Listowel. The school are very proud to be represented by Clodagh who sang really well on the night. She has now qualified for the next round of the competition at the end of October. We wish Clodagh the very best of luck in the next round.
We wish to congratulate the Staff and Students of the school who made our Open Night on Thursday night last October 11th such a success.
Shannon Rangers is to hold a function to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1972 Senior County Final in which we were victorious. In 1973, Shannon Rangers became the 1st county minor champions and this will also be celebrated in Carmody Hall in Ballylongford on Sat 24th November with music by Stevie Donegan. Tickets are ?10 and are available in the coming weeks from Robert Stack, Maurice King or Gráinne Toomey
