The Ballybunion Tidy Towns committee was delighted with the results of the national Tidy Towns Competition. We increased our overall score by 10 points. We would like to thank the community of Ballybunion for their support and encouragement in helping us reach this improved level. As a committee we will continue to meet at intervals over the winter to plan our work schedule for 2013. We will continue to strive to increase our adjudication points making our town a better and better seaside resort.
ST.JOSEPH'S SECONDARY SCHOOL
A number of night classes will be run in St.Joseph's Secondary School, Ballybunion for the Autumn. Baking with Niamh Lynch will commence on Wednesday 26th September, 7-9pm, for five weeks. Cost E65 per person. There are a limited number of places.
An introduction to Digital Photography begins Wednesday 26th September 7.309.30pm, for six weeks. Cost is E60 and there are also limited places.

We wish to congratulate Micheal Dee, second year. He won the 'Brian O'Callaghan Singles' last Saturday week in Ballybunion Golf Club. He was presented with a putter to mark his win. It is great to see the practice he puts into the sport being recognised.
JUNIOR CERTIFICATE RESULTS
Heartiest congratulations to the Junior Certificate Class 2012, who achieved such excellent results on Wednesday. The very best of luck and continued success to each of them in their Leaving Cert studies.

STAR ON THE STAGE
On September 3rd and 4th 'Homage to an American in Paris' was staged in St.John's Literary and Heritage Centre, in Listowel. Michelle Boyle, fifth year played a major part in this production. Congratulations to Michelle on an excellent job on stage.
POST LEAVING CERT COURSES
St. Joseph's Secondary School, Ballybunion are offering Post Leaving Cert Courses from September to May. They run from Tuesday to Friday 9.40am - 1.10pm daily. Courses on offer are PreGarda, Sports & Recreation and Business Studies. The courses are free and students may qualify for a grant.
