The community were saddened at the news of the death of John Walsh of the U K and formerly of Ballynoneen.
John spent most of his working life in the U K but a few years ago retired and came back to live in Doon Road Ballybunion where he made many friends.
The Asdee area was well represented at the removal of his remains from Lynch's Funeral Home in Ballylongford to St John's Church Ballybunion and again at the Requiem Mass and internment which took place to Kilconly cemetery.
Deepest sympathy is extended to his brothers, Mike and Eddie, Asdee, Dan U.K. and William Australia.
The sudden death of 16 year old Michael Bunyan of Doon Road Ballybunion touched the hearts of the people of the area.
A very well known and popular young man his death at such a young age numbed everyone that knew him
A very popular student at St Joseph's Secondary School in Ballybunion his school colleagues and teachers formed a guard of honour at his sad funeral.
Deepest sympathy is extended to his parents Liam and Angela, brother William, sister Louise, and all other family members and relatives.
ACTIVE RETIREMENT GROUP TEA DANCE
The Asdee Active Retirement Group are holding a Tea Dance at the community centre on Sunday October 21st from 2pm to 6pm.
ACTIVE RETIREMENT OUTING
There has been a very good response to the forthcoming Active Retirement Outing to Bunratty Castle which takes place on Sunday October 28th.
The Outing will include the Banquet 3 course meal asb well as entertainment by the renowned Bunratty Castle Singers.
So this is the final call to everyone get your names into Mairead Doyle or Mairead Hanlon by the Sunday deadline.
WINTER COURSES IN ASDEE
Courses that will be available include, Computers Beginnes and Advanced, Creative Writing, Community Arts and Hobbies, Health and Fitness, Social and Personal Development, Community Development, Special Needs, French and German.
Ther will have to be a minumum of 12 students for a corse to be held.

The new badminton season will be up and running again at the community centre and will continue every Thursday night at 8pm. New members are very welcome.
SUPPORT FUN – RAISER A Night at the Dogs Charity fund – raiser will be held at The Kingdom Greyhound Tack in Tralee on November 10th with the proceeds in aid of Aware Ireland.
There willl be lots of entertainment for children and a chance to win 550 euros in a special draw.
Tickets for a couple are 20 euros and the same for 2 adults and 2 children.
Tickets are available at Asdee Post Office and good local support would be appreciated.
