ARDFERT/KILMOYLEY COMMUNITY GAMES
A huge thank you and very well done to all our children and parents who traveled to Athlone over the last two weekends to compete in the National Finals. We were well represented and achieved some great results. The competition each year at the finals gets stronger and it is a huge achievement in itself to reach the final stages. Our swimmers, Owen O Sullivan, David Fitzgerald and Ciaran Monohan can be proud of their performances even thought they did not bring home medals they are a credit to the community. Ethan Fitzgerald competed in the U8 Gymnastics and presented a fantastic routine which earned him a Bronze medal. Diarmuid O Connor received a silver medal in the U16 45kg category in Judo and Darragh Lowth ran a fine race and achieved a fantastic Gold medal in the U12 600m. This sees the close to competition for this year and we would like to thank all the children who competed and all the adults who helped with coaching etc. We also want to thank those who helped out with gate collections etc. Our AGM will be coming up in a month or so. We are appealing for new members this year on the committee. It doesnt take up much time and the more help we have the easier it is. Please get involved to keep Community Games alive and well in Ardfert/Kilmoyley. Any queries to Colleen 086 8954632
