Animal Heaven Animal Rescue

Based in Gneeveguilla, we are an Animal Rescue Centre and take in animals who have been abandoned, mis-treated or whose owners, for whatever reason, can no longer look after them. Our Patron is internationally renowned musician Sharon Shannon who is hugely involved with us. We are currently looking to raise €100,000 to secure a mortgage on a new property and to date we have raised over €42,000.

If you would like to volunteer either on the farm or help us with fund-raising please contact us by emailing tom@ahar.ie or ring Tom on 083 1759327 or Georgia on 087 323 1632.

The van we purchased in the UK to convert as a dog transporter has now been issued with Irish plates and will go for its DOE shortly. Following this we will get to work on converting it to comply with Department of Agriculture standards for the transport of dogs, following which we will submit it for testing to the Department.

We now have 162 Patrons and this Scheme continues to be an important aspect to our fundraising drive for the new Rescue Centre. To become a friends of AHAR Patron, visit our website at www.ahar.ie, all proceeds go towards the purchase the new Animal Rescue Centre near Castleisland (we have placed a deposit on Nolan's Equestrian centre. Sponsor a Stable

There are 28 Stables in the main Building of the new Rescue Centre, some will be left as Stables for horses and some will be converted to house the Rescue Dogs. Last weekend we launched our Sponsor A Stable fund-raiser which is a very important part of our overall fund-raising drive for the new Centre. Businesses or individuals can sponsor a stable for a donation of €1,000. A plaque will be placed on the front of the stable itself acknowledging the stable is sponsored by you or your business. In recognition of three individuals who have already donated €1,000 (or more) we have assigned three 3 stables to them so we now have 25 available for Sponsorship. To sponsor a stable log on to ...

http://on.ahar.ie/stable and under the "Note" section give details of the name you would like on the Plaque or email tom@ahar.ie

All funds donated through this fund-raiser will go into the Purchase Fund for the new Centre. Anyone who has already contributed as a Patron and now wants to sponsor a stable can do so by topping up their donation to €1,000 (for example if you have already donated €200 to become a Patron, donating a further €800 would upgrade you to a stable sponsor.)
