A DREAM holiday in Greece inspired west Limerick couple Noel O'Connor and Marina Collins to return to the sun-drenched island of Mykonos to exchange wedding vows in front of family and friends.
Noel, from Caherlevoy, Mountcollins, and Marina Collins from Abbeyfeale chose the Greek paradise for their wedding as they had spent a fantastic holiday there together last year and wanted to do something slightly different for their big day.
"It's a really nice place, the people are lovely over there and we wanted to do something different for our wedding," Marina said. They may have dispensed with the traditional Irish wedding under grey skies, but the ceremony remained the norm by Irish standards. "We had a lovely Catholic ceremony," said Marina.
Marina and Noel exchanged their vows in front of 17 close friends and family with beautiful weather and surroundings. They thoroughly enjoyed the day and simply wished they could have spent more time there.
