Tommy all set for 'spinning session'
BALLYROE man Tommy Sheehy, known far and wide for both his love of cycling and his charity fundraising efforts, is once again getting on his bike to raise money for Enable Ireland.
Tommy, who just last year completed an epic 540km cycle all the way from Geneva to Nice, is this weekend undertaking another gruelling cycling challenge. However, this time around Tommy won't be travelling quite as far as he did on his last European venture, a trip that saw him tackle six of the major Tour De France climbs.
On Saturday he'll be getting on his bike in Manor West where he'll be tackling a draining eight-hour static 'spinning' session in the heart of the shopping centre.
Tommy says he's delighted to be able to be able to help out Enable Ireland in any way he can and he's hoping to have a lot of supporters cheering him on throughout the day.
"Enable Ireland is a great cause and we are delighted to help. It's a tough spinning session but hopefully people will support the effort and donate some money and make it worthwhile for the charity," said Tommy.
All money raised will be used by Enable Ireland to provide services to children and young adults with physical disabilities in Kerry.
