KERRY-based tourism company South West Walks Ireland have taken part in a prominent tourism promotional event in the Netherlands.
Representatives of the Tralee company travelled to Utrecht to part in the Vakantiebeurs 2014, the largest travel fair in the Netherlands, as part of an Irish delegation put together by Tourism Ireland.
The exhibition attracts more than 126,000 visitors a year including travel writers, tour operators and travel agents as well as many thousands of Dutch holidaymakers seeking the ideal spot for a getaway.
South West Walks Ireland was started in 1994 by Linda Woods.
In 1996 she was joined by business partner John Ahern and the company, based at Collis Sandes House in Tralee, has continued to grow ever since with the firm's ever expanding team of experienced guides earning a reputation as one of the best walking tour companies now working in Ireland.
The company was brought to the Utrecht exhibition to help Tourism Ireland promote Kerry and the new Wild Atlantic Way coastal tourism route.
