Peace takes top prize at Disco Dancing

A TALENTED young Tralee dancer has won a top prize at a national dancing contest that was held in Kerry over the weekend.

Peace Ovbude, who is a pupil at St John's Primary School on Ashe Street won the top prize in the First Timers section of the national Free Style Disco Dancing Competition held by Spectrum Dance Events in Killarney's Gleneagle Hotel.

School principal Michael Lynch congratulated his young pupil saying her achievement was all the more impressive given that she had fought off competition from hundreds of dancers, who came from all over Ireland, England and Scotland, in order to win the much sought after title.
