Seeing off competition from famous celebrity stylists like Brendan Courtney, Sonja Lennon, Marietta Doran and Cathy O'Connor, Norma (pictured right) ran away with the title, claiming a massive 35 per cent of the vote - her nearest rival being Marietta Doran on 12 per cent.

The model agency owner has described the win as truly amazing, adding that she was happy enough to be nominated, let alone win.

"It's an amazing accolade to be associated with, never mind actually winning. RSVP is one of the leading magazines in the country and I'm delighted and proud to be associated with them," she said. "Thank you so so much to all who voted, sent kind messages and supported me in not only this but in everything I've done to date. It's truly been unbelievable, with people ringing, texting, e mailing and coming up to me on the street saying they had voted.

"The whole experience has been quite humbling. It's like winning the All-Ireland Final."
