The grounds of the Old Monastery were beating to the sounds of drum workshops and music filled the air from 11am until 4pm as the sun came out to play.

It was the second annual fun day at the local centre which caters for over 100 service users and guests included the Kelliher family and Millstreet based singer Annmarie O'Riordan who added a top class traditional touch to the day.

A sizzling barbecue was set up in the front garden to tempt the taste buds and later there was the very welcome visit by the ever popular ice cream man.

"The weather held up well and we had an absolutely fantastic day," Kerry Parents and Friends CEO Marie Linehan said afterwards, adding:

"Everyone enjoyed the day, the entertainment was great and the food was fabulous, so we hope to repeat it again next year".
