Breda O'Grady and Maggie Large, who have over 25 years experience in the industry, are hosting an new eight week programme beginning at Easter. Open to men and women, the programme will see 12 participants engage in a healthy eating and exercise regime at the studio, which promises to have them looking leaner and feeling better by the summer.

Details of the new programme were announced last week as Breda, Maggie and nutritionist Andrea Cullen celebrated the success of a similar programme which reached its finale.

Twelve locals showed off their new bods at a special awards ceremony, having undergone the first ever Shakti 8-week programme, which kicked off on January 13.

All competitors - Richard Harnett, Brendan Sexton, John O'Connor , Maria Goad, Rita Connell, Kathleen Culloty, Sheila Mc Enery, Carmel Clifford, Mairead Doyle, Karina Cahill, Karen Playford and Enda Galvin - each received certificates of achievement, with Mairead Doyle being crowned the overall winner.

"They stood before us again looking amazing as we announced the winner of the programme but to Breda and myself they were all winners with each and every one of them having massive weight and inch loss results, increased fitness levels and stamina, motivation and self confidence," Maggie said.

"Over the weeks their lives and bodies were transformed and reformed through a slow and steady process. Both Breda and I thank everybody on the team and all who supported them and wish them well in the future."

Anyone interested in taking part in the next programme can contact Breda on 087-4144303 or Maggie on 087-9866533.
