THE local branch of the Kerry Hospice foundation is preparing for the 15th annual Good Friday Hospice Walk and are urging locals to take part in the event, which is one of the major fundraisers for the society each year.

The walk will be on April 18 and sponsorship cards are available at Jack Shanahan's, Phil Horan's or Galwey Auctioneers. Those who prefer not to seek sponsorship can give a personal donation on the day.

All funds raised in Kerry for the Hospice will remain in Kerry, going directly towards the development of a new in-patient unit to be built at Kerry General Hospital. The Good Friday Walk will leave from Gael Aogáin at 11 a.m. sharp and will take an hour.
