Gardening course from February to June
Does the notion of 'growing-your-own' grab you? Then, maybe, you should grab an opportunity of taking that first step by ringing the number at the end of this article.
Kerry Education and Training Board is supporting a gardening course to be held at the Castleisland Community Garden. The course started on February 24, at 10.30am. There will be eight classes of two- hours each to be held forthnightly.
The course will teach participants how to plan their garden, sow seeds in modules or directly into the ground, different methods of controlling weeds and pests, making your own compost, and harvesting, using or storing vegetables.
