BTS Fitness in Manor Park, Tralee, are running an eight-week challenge for people who are looking for a transformation in their lifestyle.
The Kerry Weight-Loss Challenge will commence on July 1 and will run until the end of August. The challenge will consist of between 20 and 24 competitors, to be divided into male and female teams.
Personal trainer Niall Hobbert is looking for male and female contestents of any age and will put the challengers through their paces three days a week with a workout in the gym while also providing them with diet and workout plans for at home.
"We are looking for people who are willing to try, or have tried, to lose weight and failed for whatever reason, but who want to or have to change their lifestyle. They must be willing to commit themselves 100 per cent to us for eight weeks, three times a week and at home also. By the end of it they should be self-sufficient to maintain a healty lifestyle," said Mr Hobbert, who is keen to distinguish this challenge from a lot of the other fitness challenges out there. "This is a whole lifestyle thing more so than just being fitness or sport orientated."
There will be a male and a female winner of the challenge, with very generous prizes on offer. The female winner will receive a full hair and make-up makeover from Gemma Knightly and a full formal outfit from Jill Hannon's, Castleisland, while the male winner will also receive a full outfit, and both winners will also receive two vouchers for a day at the Nadur Spa in Ballygarry House Hotel, and six months membership for the BTS Fitness gym.
