Fashion blogger Kaithlin to speak at EU conference
AN enterprising young Tralee schoolgirl, who runs her own successful fashion blog, has been invited to speak at a major EU conference in Brussels on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Kaithlin Corcoran, a fifth year student at the Presentation Secondary School, was the winner of the 2013 Young Entrepreneur Programme which she won thanks to her fashion blog highstreetcouture.com.
Her award winning blog, which has already attracted 100,000 views, turned one year old in October and has brought the Tralee student to national attention, appearing on RTE's Kidspeak and meeting Kerry born designer to the stars Don O'Neill and other leading fashion figures.
Now Kaithlin has been invited to give a 20-minute talk about her blog, entrepreneurship and her burgeoning business in Brussels at the European Union conference.
She will be jetting out to the European Parliament this week to appear at the event where she'll be joining a list of high flying speakers from the business world, including Intel Vice President Martin Curley.
