CASTLEGRGEORY woman Kerri O'Mahony (24) is making a real name for herself in the world of business as, having been nominated as a Graduate of the Year, her accomplishments helped her employers - Enterprise Rent-A-Car - to earn the Diversity Recruitment Award at the Grad Ireland Awards last week.
This is the latest in a string of accomplishments for Kerri who joined Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a summer intern in Limerick in June 2010 and quickly achieved the company status of 'Top Intern' in a time when many of her peers were emigrating.
Kerri continued to work with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in her final year at UCC and upon graduating with a degree in commerce, the company sent her to join the Enterprise's Graduate Training programme in San Francisco in October 2011 where she established herself as a top performer with the company.
In November 2012 Kerri completed her training in San Francisco, where she was promoted to management assistant, before travelling home to resume her job in Ireland. Last December she was promoted to assistant branch manager of the Enterprise rental office in Naas, Co Kildare.
"The most rewarding part of it all is to see how far I've come at 24 years of age," said Kerri. "My roles and responsibilities have changed along the way and I now manage a fantastic team and the day to day operations in our Naas location as the assistant manager."
"I set out to make a name for myself and made it into the top 10 sales employees in the San Francisco region in my first month. I solely ran my own satellite branch over there which was an excellent opportunity to run my own business and make an impact."
