The hospital was nominated in the Hospital of The Year Category and it was narrowly pipped to the award by The Mater Hospital In Dublin.

The manager of the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee, Donna Roche, said she was delighted the Tralee hospital was the first Bon Secours hospital to be represented at the awards.
"We are the first Bon Secours Hospital to be represented at the awards which is great achievement in itself. This nomination is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all the staff who provide excellent care to patients. It is an honour to be regarded as being in the top five hospitals in Ireland and we look forward to maintaining that position over the coming months and years," she said.
