A MAGNIFICENT piece of land, located in Tonevane, Blennerville, Tralee, is due to go under the hammer in the Grand Hotel, Tralee, on Tuesday, January 15, at 3pm.
This land parcel is all in one block, is top quality, free draining, Limestone land that has no waste and is well sheltered from the elements. It is divided into a few fields with Whitethorn hedgerows and has two different access points from the public road.
From an agricultural viewpoint, this land is suited to the widest possible range of enterprises, but because of it's location, it could be used for many other commercial ventures.
If location is worth anything, then this property has it all. It is located on the verge of Blennerville village, within walking distance of Tralee town and fronting onto the N86, which is the main gateway to Dingle from Tralee. In addition, it has access on the Northern boundary, facing on to Tralee Bay.
According to Eamonn McQuinn, of McQuinn Property Services Ltd, there has been a steady stream of enquiries about this property since it was first advertised.
He says that the enquiries are coming from both farmers and non-farmers alike, which reflects the potential of the property for the medium to long term.
Even though it is possible that the property might be sold prior to auction, he expects good solid interest for it, at the auction. Mr McQuinn went on to state that past experience shows that quality land parcels, located close to Tralee town, rarely come on the public market and when they do, they tend to make above average prices.
This property carries an AMV of about €15,000 per acre to the auction table, assuming that a sale will not be agreed prior to that date.
