Youngsters set to wow audiences

THOSE talented young performers who attend the Tim Lander's School of Performing Arts in Tralee will be wowing audiences next weekend when they host their annual end of year showcase.

This year's production, entitled 'Applause', will take place at the Central Hotel this Sunday January 12 when every student from the school will take to the stage over two performances.

The first show, at 2pm, will see the school's four to eight year 'Hush Puppies' join the nine to 12 year old 'Alleycats' on stage with the school's senior group, the 'Tigers', taking to the stage in the second show at 6pm.

Tim's students have been rehearsing since September under the guidance dance teacher Tara Dore, singing teacher Maeve Burke and, of course, Mr Landers himself.

As well as classics from Disney and various musicals the shows will include a variety of pop and chart hits as well as comedy and drama.

"Our students have been hard at work since September and the showcases will let them show off the fruits of their labours," said Tim.

"We pride ourselves on the fact that every student in our school gets the option of performing in our end of year showcases and there will be something for everyone in both shows," he said.

Tickets are available on the door costing €10 for adults and €7 for under 18s.

Group discounts are available by calling Tim Landers on 083 4056829.
