Top travel bloggers pay visit to Kerry

SOME OF the top travel bloggers from across the globe were in Kerry over the weekend as they took time out from attending the Travel Bloggers Exchange conference in Dublin.

Almost 40 bloggers from 10 countries enjoyed the trip to Kerry, which began on Saturday with a tour of Muckross House, gardens and traditional farms in Killarney. From there, they took time out to wind down in The Malton Hotel, before spending the evening experiencing Killarney's nightlife.

Sunday saw the group travelling west to the Dingle Food Festival where they were given the opportunity to sample some of the local cuisine.

TBEX is the world's largest conference and networking event for online travel journalists and travel industry companies, and it is anticipated these bloggers will be a major boost to Ireland's profile as a tourism destination.

Fáilte Ireland Head of Operations, Fiona Buckley said in a statement, "This is a great opportunity to create a major impression to tens of millions of online followers as the TBEX delegates explore Kerry while they are here and share their experiences with the world."
