THE JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am may not be going ahead in Adare this year, but one Hollywood A-lister who has previously played in the competition has hinted that just might make his way to Limerick this summer regardless.
Multi-award winning actor Samuel L Jackson, said that while he's very disappointed the charity golf tournament isn't happening in 2014, he is anxious to catch up with his billionaire friend JP McManus and may well fly over from London where he will be filming scenes next month for his forthcoming Tarzan film.
Speaking to The Irish Independent's Day & Night magazine, the Pulp Fiction star said he is very keen to return to Adare – a place he says he loves.
"Last time I was over in Ireland was when JP invited me to play in Limerick (2010). Man I love that place," he said. "It's unfortunate it [the Pro-Am tournament] ain't going on but that's not going to stop me hitting up your golf courses over the next few months. I'm going to be in London all summer, so I'm definitely going to pop over a couple of times. Only a quick jump over the Irish Sea. You'll probably find me literally camped out on the course in Adare."
