Romeo sets hearts racing in Dingle
OH Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? ... Dingle had the answer to this question last Sunday night as Home and Away heart-throb Luke Mitchell (a.k.a Romeo) made a special guest appearance at the Hillgrove's Club Htwo.
Over 250 fans waited eagerly for Luke's arrival and when the bronzed Aussie Adonis pulled up in a 'Hummer' outside the club at approximately 11.10pm hysteria ensued. Luke, who travelled to Dingle with his wife and fellow Home and Away alumnus Rebecca, who played the character of Ruby in the soap, spent several hours meeting his many adoring fans.
The Australian actor, whose on-screen character is currently dealing with the serious issue of melanoma, also took to the DJ's box to thank the large crowd who had travelled from the four corners of the county, and in some case further afield, to see him.
Despite hailing from literally the other side of the world, Luke had also heard of Dingle's most famous celebrity, Fungie the Dolphin, adding that he was hoping to go and see and perhaps to take some time out to see the Oceanworld Aquarium. He also said he was looking forward to taking a walk around Dingle which he described as "a very pretty town".
