Pure drop flows in Lixnaw for its Fleadh Cheoil

The young talents of the Lixnaw branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí na hÉireann are tuning up their strings as they prepare to host another great Lixnaw Fleadh Cheoil this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 13 and 14.

It's a great way to prepare for the county Fleadh -- which takes place in Tralee the following week -- and a brilliant way to help the Lixnaw branch celebrate its end-of-year.

"We'll be hosting competitions which are open to everyone over Saturday and Sunday, with step-dancing taking place on the Saturday, and our first-ever sean-nós dancing competition on the Sunday along with all instrumental, traditional singing and comhrá Ghaeilge," Lixnaw PRO Roisin Rice said. All musicians eager to give their fingers, arms and lungs a good spin before Tralee are urged to make Lixnaw off.
