THEY were so good they had to do it all over again!

Five talented Moyvane musicians performed so well in Scór na bPáistí that they have now been chosen to perform in new TG4 programme Scór Encore.

This ballad group have been performing together since they were in third class in Murhur National School in Movyanve.

Laura Stack (guitar and vocals), Lisa Mulvihill ( concertina, tin whistle and vocals), Margaret Mulvihill (bodhrán and vocals), Lisa Stackpoole (vocals) and Amy Lindsel (vocals) are now in Tarbert Comprehensive's first year but continue to practice under their former third-class teacher Tara Mulvihill in their old alma mater.

"I just knew they had something back in third year and we got managed to bring them together as a group that year," Tara told The

Kerryman. "They were entered for Scór Encore, which is a new competition this year, by getting to the county finals of Scór. We only found out on Friday that they were selected by RTÉ for the competition on Friday and they will be heading up on Thursday to take part in filming the new show!"

The talented fivesome go before three judges and TG4's cameras, but with the support of everyone in Moyvane giving them plenty of courage. Tara thanked the GAA in particular - under the chairmanship of Laura's father Johnny Stack - who are sponsoring the bus to Dingle.
