WHAT better place can you imagine for a children's party than in the middle of a toyshop. And that's exactly what happened in Caball's toyshop on Bridge Street on Saturday morning as part of the Tir na nOg children's festival.
For the last few years Caballs' owner Anne Laide and her staff have been hosting a children's party during the festival and on Saturday morning the shop was jam-packed with excited children, every one of whom received a toy as a present
The fun and games began with the presentation of prizes for an art competition the shop has been running in recent weeks before the children tucked into some party food and enjoyed a lots of games and mini competitions.
There was also a puppet show and the Toymaster Puppy was on hand to help keep the children entertained.
"It's always a great day and the children and parents love it. In fact we always have to try and keep the numbers down because there's only so many children we can accommodate and there are always so many who want to come every year," said Anne Laide.
