The big street bash will kick off on Main Street with a special event for the family, including a Disney Disco and street entertainment. Organisers from Christmas in Killarney are promising a plethora of surprises for the New Year's Eve celebration, and say that this year's Street Bash will be even better that the inaugural event last year.
"We had a huge turn-out and it was a rip-roaring success. We hope this year will be just as successful and have a great line up organised, with entertainment appealing to all ages," said Gemma Kavanagh, who is organising the event alongside committee members Marian Lyne, Padraig Harnett and Catherine O'Sullivan.
"Our aim last year was to establish Killarney as a New Year's Eve destination – to keep locals in town and bring people into Killarney for the night. And after the success of last year's event we believe Killarney is fast becoming the number one place to be on New Year's Eve," she added.
