Birthday celebrations for Tralee Balcony TV
THE Tralee version of online indie music TV channel Balcony TV celebrated its first birthday with a special concert at the Abbey Inn Last Thursday night.
Balcony TV is an online music show which offers features mainly unsigned and independent bands performing on balconies around the world. The first Balcony TV channel was founded in Dublin in 2006 and the Tralee version, which is based and filmed weekly at IT Tralee, was founded last March.
Tralee's Balcony TV channel was created and is run by presenter Amy Jackman, audio technicians Cillian Garvey and Steve Clifford and camerman Niall Keher. On Thursday night Amy, Cillian, Steve and Niall hosted a birthday party for the channel with a number of acts that have been featured on Balcony TV Tralee taking to the stage in the Abbey Inn.
The guests on the night included Gary Keane or as he's better known Like a Fire, Stephanie Rainey, Sumdaze and Fallings.
"We'd like to thank to the Institute Of Technology Tralee for the support in our first few months and to the The Abbey Inn for being so generous to us over the last six months. Its been a great first year, here's to another one," said Amy Jackman.
