THE first live show of Kerry's Got Talent 2013 takes place this Sunday July 7, at Siamsa Tire, Tralee. Eight acts will compete for the first two places in the August 25 Grand Final at the INEC, Killarney.
However, back by popular demand, is the Audience Wild Card Vote which will offer two acts from each of the first five live shows a second opportunity to perform for the judges again for two places in the Final. In total 12 acts will perform in the Final for the chance to win €5,000 and the 2013 Kerry's Got Talent Title.
The eight acts this Sunday are singer Aoife de Mille from Kenmare who accompanies herself on guitar; The Crossing, a three piece band from Killarney, Colin Foley, Sean Lillis and Darren McGillicuddy on fiddle, cajon and guitar; duo Purple Rain - Sarah Landers and Kelsey Lang McCarthy from Cahersiveen who sing and play guitar; four piece band Faye & The Vibe from Kenmare, Faye, El Bruno, Saxaphonia and John, who bring a lounge and jazz style to the Siamsa stage; Ballybunion singer, guitar and harmonica player Declan O Mahony; Tralee will be represented on the night by solo singers Amy Prendergast and Joshua Roche while dancer James Friel brings his freestyle form to the Siamsa Tire stage.
The 2013 judges are entertainment journalist with RTE TV's Today Show Colum McCormack Crowe, Radio Kerry's Solid Gold Sunday presenter Ray Nash and INEC Entertainment Manager, Fiona O Connor. Guest judge this Sunday is Brian Hurley, presenter of Kerry's Full Breakfast on Radio Kerry. The MC once again for this year's live shows is Radio Kerry's Francis Jones.
Doors open each Sunday at 2.30pm with live show commencing at 3pm. Tickets for the live shows in Siamsa are €12 per adult and €10 for under 16s from the Siamsa Tire Box office on 066 7123055.
