No stopping the Curracloe girls
DIVISION 1 side Kilmore were always going to find life difficult against Premier side Curracloe in the Under-14 Cup final in Bunclody on Saturday last, but they did make things much more difficult for the seasiders than the scoreline suggests.
CURRACLOE UTD 5 KILMORE UTD 0
Kilmore were well in the game in the opening exchanges and were unlucky not to go in front through Cora Miller but, midway through the first-half, Curracloe went in front through Rianna Cullen and doubled that lead through Dearbhla Doyle just before half-time.
Despite Kilmore's best efforts, Curracloe took control in the second-half and knocked in another three, with Dearbhla Doyle scoring her second while Siobhán Doolan and Jessica Sinnott also found the net for the eventual winners.
Curracloe always looked comfortable but Kilmore are a very young side with a great future and will have gained a lot of experience from this game.
Rianna Cullen collected the player of the match award which was presented to her by her sister, Aleisha, who is part of the Wexford Youth Women National League squad.
