THE COUNTY Wexford ringers were held in Ferns on Saturday last.
In Division 1, Noel Redmond of Doran's Bridge was crowned champion. He had a total of 35 ringers, and Michael Redmond of the Woodsmen was second with 24 ringers.
In Division 2, Denis Larkin Snr. (Monart) won with 12 ringers, while in second place was Jim Sludds Jnr. (Ballyroe) with five ringers.
There was a disappointing turn-out, with 12 players in total. Special thanks to everyone who helped out with changing bars and the draw.
In the report on the Division 2 final of the Monageer tournament last week, Wally Dempsey and Mikey Sunderland should have been listed as beating John Doyle Snr. and Billy Cash 21-19. It was listed as the other way around last week. Apologies for the error and congratulations to Wally and Mikey.
There will be an open doubles tournament on Sunday, September 16, at the Heritage Field Day in Carnew.
