Owen and Kenny win Heritage Park doubles

THERE WAS an Open Doubles tournament held in Carnew held Sunday last. It was in association with the Heritage field day in Carnew.

There was a small turnout; the weather didn't help in that regard.

Final: Sean Owens (The Forge)/Peter Kenny (McCrea's) beat John Doyle Sr (Doran's Bridge)/Sheamus Phillips (Corner House) 21-20.

The final was a thriller, and could have gone either way. There was some excellent throwing with Peter Kenny being the stand out performer.

Winners and runners-up both received trophies for their efforts. HPAI MEETING

There will be a HPAI meeting in Carlow on Wednesday the 19th at 8:30 pm. COUNTY BOARD MEETING

There will be a Wexford County Board meeting in Ferns on Friday the 21st at 8pm.

Tickets for the upcoming social will be given out that night.

Also any surplus passes for the All-Ireland Ploughing will be given on that night.

Any members attending he Ploughing Match should attend.

At the last meeting John Doyle Sr was chosen to represent Wexford in the Person of the Year awards.
