Gorey lifters have the power to succeed

GOREY WILL be well represented when Ireland plays host to the World Drug Free Powerlifting Federation (W.D.F.P.F.) European Championships next weekend.

The championships, which are being hosted by the Irish Drug Free Powerlifting Association (I.D.F.P.A.), will take place in the Iontas Centre in Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan.

The competition will see some of the strongest men and women in Europe coming to Ireland to battle for the European crown. All support for the Irish team will be very welcome.

The Gorey flag will be flown by Rob Duncan, Andrew Scully, Anthony Griffiths, Danny Howard and Chris Kavanagh, all competing to represent Ireland and the Ace Powerlifting Club based in the Worx Gym.

Admission is free and the doors shall open at 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
