Golfers putt 'em under pressure!

ONE hundred and thirty juniors took to the fairways of Courtown Golf Club for the Tom Funge Memorial Cups Competition.
The timesheets, which were booked out within 24 hours, saw entries from all over the South East as well as Dublin.
Speaking before the prizegiving, Mr Joe Funge complimented all those connected with the work that was being done for the junior section under the careful eye and direction of Niall Nolan.
In the girls section, Tara Glen had a clean sweep, winning all 6 prizes.
Emily Murphy took top honours with a fine score of 41 points, while Sarah Murray was second with 38 points closely followed in third by Laura Grahan with 37. Alice Hutchinson managed to win the Best Gross.
In the boys section it was very close.
Gavin Glennon from Seafield managed to come out on top with 40 points, closely followed by James Coolican from Rosslare in second with 39 points and Alan Horgan from Dun Laoire in third with 38 points. Daniel Mahony from Coorstown took the Best Gross.
Junior Captain, Shannon Quinlan congratulated the winners on their performances and thanked Funges of Gorey for sponsoring the event.
