THE FOUR-DAY national showjumping championships were held at Barnadown, Gorey, where horses, ponies and riders from every corner of Ireland took part.

Fraser Andrew from Castle Talbot, Blackwater, took the young riders metre ten national champion title on his horse, 'Minstrals Lady'. This is a great achievement as Fraser only turned 14 years old in June.

The class is aimed at riders from 17 to 21 years of age. Fraser, a first year pupil at Kilkenny College, was also in the schools championships held at London in July where his team finished sixth against schools from Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales.
