Offaly and Laois to provide club tests

WHOEVER WINS the Pettitt's Senior hurling championship will have a home tie against the Offaly winners in the AIB Leinster Club championship quarter-final on Sunday, November 2.
The draw was made by the provincial council last week, with the victors set to meet the Westmeath or Carlow representatives at an away venue in the penultimate round on November 16.
The Dublin and Laois champions will clash in the other quarter-final, with the victors taking on the Kilkenny contenders who have a bye to the semi-final. The decider is pencilled in for Sunday, November 30.
Meanwhile, Wexford also earned a home draw in Senior football against the Laois champions in the first round on Sunday, October 26. A victory would lead to another home clash with the Dublin winners on November 9, and there would be another home venue for the semi-final against the Westmeath or Longford reps. on November 23.
The final is due to take place on December 7.
