Singer Jimi packs them in for launch of new album 'Life'
A PACKED Cellar Bar at Katie Daly's in Gorey was recently treated to the best of original local music, as local singer/songwriter Jimi Cullen (pictured) launched his new album 'Life'.
Jimi has decided to make his album freely available for fans for the next few months, as he attempts to spread the word about his music, and gain a new following, after taking two years out to recover from serious problems with his hearing. He has also embarked on a 50-date nationwide tour between now and the end of August.
He said he was delighted with the support on the evening, and also with the positive feedback to the new songs, many of which he played on the night.
He said there were a lot o familiar faces there for the launch, and also some who he didn't know, which was also great. He said that the response to the music made it worth all the effort.
He was supported on the evening by local musicians Chris Gethings and The Railway Sleepers who are Karen Dunbar and Gavin McDermott who were also very well received.
Jimi's album can be downloaded for free at jimicullenmusic.bandcamp.com or is available at his gigs.
