The artistic talents of two local men have come together for a joint exhibition of their work.

The woodturning creations of the renowned Robert O'Connor need no introduction, and it's his studio on the Arklow Road in Gorey which is currently hosting the joint exhibition.

The other half of the venture is photography by Seán Lacey, who has put together a fascinating collection of 130 black and white portraits of local people.

'Portraiture is my hobby,' he said. 'I've been taking photographs of local people since the late 1970s.'

In the collection, he has included a mix of pictures taken over the four decades. Seán estimated that the majority of people featured are now deceased, and the exhibition has evoked fond memories for local people.'

'Word of mouth has been great,' he said. 'Robert's work is fabulous, and the two of us kind of complement each other. It's a deceptively large premises, and it's an ideal space for an exhibition.'

The exhibition continues, and both men thanked all who attended so far.
