Jimi's new single will benefit Amnesty

Gorey musician Jimi Cullen is hoping to do his bit for Amnesty International by releasing a charity single 8.

'I recorded it a few years ago,' said Jimi. 'It's quite different to the original version and was always very popular amongst my fanbase. After a few requests to release it, I decided to go ahead and do it and try raise some money for a good cause too.'

The video for the song made its debut on Youtube yesterday and was filmed by talented local film maker Jimmy Reynolds.

Jimi is currently also putting the finishing touches to his highly anticipated third album which is due for release in Spring 2014 and he has developed quite a reputation as a performer, having shared a stage with such stalwarts of the Irish music scene as Declan O'Rourke, Paddy Casey and Sharon Shannon.
