GOREY struck it lucky for a second week in a row on The National Lottery Big Money Game on RTE1, as Caroline O'Connor won €28,500.

A native of Dalkey, who lived in Wicklow before moving to Gorey, Caroline is a carer for her mother Ann. She recently completed a course in Social Studies, and is keen to take her studies further.

She got a huge shock when her name was called out on the show the previous week. She doesn't think she is lucky at all, but her mother told her that she had said a prayer for her to be looked after just before her name was selected for the programme.

She plans to treat herself to a new car as her car is on its last legs. She bought her lucky ticket in Dunnes Stores.
