The top Siamese, if you please!

A FOUR MONTH OLD Siamese kitten from Gorey is already highly decorated, after taking a haul of awards including Best Siamese in Show at the recent Siamese and all Breeds Cat Club of Ireland Show.

Sherlock, a Seal Point Siamese kitten belonging to Bethany Trankner (8) from Gorey, greatly impressed the judges and won multiple awards.

This was both Bethany and Sherlock's first show, and to their amazement, he was one of the most decorated cats there. He won eight rosettes; four firsts, one second, Best of Breed, Best of Variety Siamese Kitten, and the prestigious rosette 'Best in Show Siamese.'

He also won a silver platter for Best Siamese Male and a cup for Best Siamese Kitten.

Over 100 cats were entered in the competition, with some in attendance from the UK. Bethany could hardly believe her eyes as rosette after rosette was pinned to Sherlock's cage.

She was in the front row for the final as the seven Best in Show cats were presented with giant rosettes, and she could barely contain her delight as she was announced as the owner of the Best in Show Siamese by the judge. Sherlock won a Silver Platter and Cup, and Bethany declared it as ' the best day' of her life.
