Students hit the national airwaves

STUDENTS from Gorey Community School recently travelled to Dublin to do a radio interview about their successful Project Smile campaign last year.

Students Declan Wildes, Eugene Kavanagh, Aveen Kinsella and Michael Dwyer, and Transition Year Coordinator Emma Hamilton, visited the Newstalk studios to talk about last year's Young Social Innovators Project 'Project Smile', the 'Jump for Joy' campaign.

They were interviewed by journalist and stand-up compedian Dil Wickremasinghe, for the Newstalk Young Social Innovators section, and told her about their mental health awareness project, as well as the origin of their 'Jump for Joy' slogan, and their national successes last year.
