Sisters set to shave and dye

SISTERS Gemma and Deirdre Fox from Castlebridge are shaving and dyeing their hair to raise funds for cancer research.

Gemma, aged 16, is planning to dye her hair while her 26-year-old sister Deirdre, who is a lab technician at Servier Systems in Arklow, is going to have her head shaved.

'There's a history of cancer in our family and we're doing this to support the case,' said Gemma, who is in the fifth class at the Loreto.

'Deirdre's godmother passed away from cancer as well,' she said.

The shaving and dyeing is due to take place at the Porterhouse in Castlebridge at 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, and the sisters are looking for all the support they can get.
