COURTOWN RNLI Lifeboat was called out yesterday afternoon, Monday, at around 3 p.m. to assist a speedboat which had broken down.
The boat had seven people on board, and it ran into difficulty off Ardamine south beach. The Courtown RNLI crew, including Aine Stafford, David Switzer, and Iain Biddulph Jnr. were quickly on the scene and brought the boat back under tow to safety in the harbour.
The Lifeboat crew have a busy weekend ahead, as Sea Sunday, and the annual fundraising raft race, take place on Sunday, July 14.
