'Really big quiz' goes really well

WHAT novel included the characters Jonathan Harker and Lucy Westenra?

This was one of the more difficult questions at the Really Big Table Quiz - difficult unless of course you know the answer!

The annual table quiz, which continues to attract one of the biggest crowds for this type of event, was held last week in aid of the NWSPCA.

One hundred questions put the teams under pressure, but they proved to be of little challenge, as all teams scored high marks and one team only secured a win on the final question of a tie-breaker round.

This table quiz is known for not taking itself too seriously, with plenty of clues and hints given, some pretty blatantly by the quizmaster, but it was all in the name of fun.

Along with the quiz, those who had no chance of winning a prize using their brain power, had a chance on the raffle, which offered dozens of prizes ensuring most tables went home with something.

The Society thanked the quiz master, the questions provider and correctors, the raffle ticket sellers, all the volunteers who helped organise the event and the public who came along to support. The Society gave special thanks to the Loch gCarman Arms for hosting the event, Dunbars Store of Courtown for sponsoring the answer packs and the numerous local businesses who provided the prizes for the raffle. The event raised much needed funds for the North Wexford SPCA, where all funds remain locally for the provision of animal welfare services.

And as for the name of the novel, it was Bram Stoker's Dracula!
