The race was planned for St. Stephen's Day, but it was postponed to the following Sunday because of the weather conditions on St Stephens Day itself. Joan said that mainly family members took part in the race from Bob's Bar up to The Sawdust car park, and back to Bob's.

She also held a children's disco in Cooney's of Oulart before Christmas, and she was delighted with the sum raised between both events.

Joan has held regular fundraisers for different charities for the past 17 years, and she thanked everyone who supported the most recent events, including John Roche of Cooneys of Oulart, and also all in Bob's Bar.
