THE INQUEST was opened last week into the passing of 18-yearold Larry or Laurence Connors from 3 Na Coillte in Bunclody, who died in a road accident earlier this year.
The inquest heard that the accident occurred on the Bunclody to Kiltealy road on April 1 and the teenaged victim died at Wexford General two days later.
Among the family members present at the inquest in the Presentation Centre was the father of the deceased, who confirmed to coroner Seán Nixon that he had formally identified his son to Garda Emma Dwan on April 3.
The autopsy was carried out at Waterford Regional Hospital by pathologist Adetola Oshi who noted that Larry Connors was discovered 30 feet away from where the vehicle came to rest after the accident. He had sustained severe brain injuries, which ultimately proved fatal.
Dr. Nixon offered his sympathy to the family on their loss and he adjourned the inquest until further notice.
No verdict was returned by the inquest jury as the matter stands adjourned pending consideration of the case by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
